Experience Skype to the Max is a Kindle eBook; however, you do not need a Kindle device to read it. Kindle also provides free Kindle Reader applications for iOS (iPhone, iPad), Android (phones and tablets), Windows and Mac.
Kindle is going through a format change to provide authors with more flexibility for layout, graphics and formatting bullets. The new Kindle Fire 8 (KF8) format is now available on all Kindle devices and Kindle for Android; it is expected to become available soon on other devices. Using any of these devices or applications, Kindle will detect if the device supports KF8 and use that format. Experience Skype to the Max takes advantage of the KF8 format on devices where it is supported.
The eBook looks best on a 10” or larger colour display using the new KF8 format where graphics can be embedded into paragraphs.
The preferred devices are:
- Kindle Fire (currently only available in the U.S.)
- Kindle for Android on a tablet (such as Samsung Galaxy Tab)

Update: Sept. 12, 2012: New releases of Kindle for Mac (available via the Mac App Store) and Kindle for Windows now support the KF8 format with full color.
It also looks great on the iPad and Microsoft Surface; however, currently Kindle for iPad and Kindle for Windows 8 only use the legacy awz format which results in graphics and text being sequential as shown above on the right. This does not compromise any of the content or the ability to view the graphics. At Amazon’s discretion it is expected that Kindle will fully support the KF8 format on Kindle for iOS (iPad and iPhone) and Kindle for Windows 8 in the near future.
Of course it can also be read on the other devices listed below but either “black and white” or the smaller screen size is a compromise when it comes to viewing the some of the graphics in the book. On the other hand the content is all there and you can adjust the font size to make the text easily readable to suit your situation.
